As a blogger and content developer, I needed to have an app where I could have everything organized in one place. I have found myself with a lot of folders on my desktop and on different USBs. But in order to save time I needed to have a place where I could store multimedia files and I knew exactly the place where I save it. Therefore even though I have used Dropbox before on my computer I have never used it on my IPhone or IPod.

Believe me, that was the best decision ever. As I explore this application on my phone and also on my IPod, I discovered a lot of other benefits that I could use to my advantage. The Dropbox app is free, and user-friendly best news ever right? Once you downloaded this app to your phone it will sync all of your files instantly if you allow it. Once I had all my documents at the touch of a fingertip, I began to explore it.

Here is a list of things I found resourceful about this app!

Organize & Store!

If you consider yourself a control freak like me, this app if for you! Dropbox will let you create as many folders and you want if you have the storage to save it. At the beginning, you will have only 2GB but this is something that you can change! I will get to that point further one. Also, as a PR professional, it is very convenient to use this app because you can save videos, photos and documents all in one place and can see them without an Internet connection. Therefore, as a blogger or content developer, you will have all the things you need to create an amazing story or post.

Upload & Save!

This app also helps you to upload and edit Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel documents. Also, you can create presentations directly from Dropbox, the only thing that you need to have are the other apps (Microsoft Word, Power Point & Excel) install already on your phone. I also love the idea of scanning documents and save them on my Dropbox files; it saves a lot of valuable time.

If you have photos or videos you can upload them directly from your phone to the app. Never ever loose something valuable again! This means you will always have a backup plan if you accidentally delete it. Save photos, videos, and documents directly to Dropbox and you will have it as backup always.

Besides, this amazing app its girl approved! If you erased something from Dropbox you can restore the account and everything within 30 days can be recovered again because Dropbox saves your documents for this amount of time anyways!

Share & Spread the word!

Another feature that I loved about this app is that you can share your files with others, therefore the person that you invite can also upload documents, photos or multimedia content and both can edit them.

Additionally, if you invite people to join Dropbox you can have even more space on your account. Yes! Just share folders with others via IMessage, email, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp to get more storage by just keep growing the network.

Keep this in mind!

The only thing that I did not like about this app is that I needed to download other apps (Microsoft Word, Power Point & Excel) in order to see it work to the fullest. It is not integrated, therefore you need to have those apps also downloaded and it took place on the storage capacity of my IPhone and IPod in my case.

Another thing that I experience is that only one person can view and edit shared documents at the same time, like Google Drive. The app does not allow multiple editors working on the same file simultaneously. If both of these deficiencies could get fixed, it will be much better. But overall I love this app and I look forward to using it on my PR professional journey.

My “Wish APP”!

If I could have one “wish app” granted it will be a mix of IMovie, Photoshop Express, and Dropbox mix together as one. It will be having all of the best performances of each app in one place. If I could open an app where I could create photos, videos and documents and I could edit them simultaneously on one app only it will save a lot of time. I could work in one place, have everything organized and at the end, I can share it on social media platforms directly from this app.
