If you are a food and wine lover and also enjoy creative cocktails, you are in the right place.

Who am I and how I got here?

I am Jennymar Torres, journalist, food blogger, and photographer behind Novo Creative PR.

Well, is kind of a long story, but every good story needs a “once upon a time”, right?

Seriously, though, mine is still in the making and we’re going to travel in time a bit. Just stay with me, ok?

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and since I was a little girl, I was interested in cooking and baking with my grandmother. I consider myself a food lover. I love to eat, drink, and enjoy the simple things in life with a warm cup of coffee in hand. My passion relies upon the infinite world of Food & Beverage and in the Hospitality Industry.

Currently, I am a fine dining server at the five stars Dorado Beach a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico. I am a Full Sail student enrolled in the Public Relations master’s degree program and also a freelance content producer, photographer, videographer and editor in chief of the book Mi Graduación PR.

When I was in high school, I started to research the Culinary Schools in the island. I graduated in 2004 and started my journey as a Culinary Arts student at the Escuela Hotelera de San Juan. In 2005, I did my internship as a Culinary Apprentice at the Intercontinental San Juan Hotel & Casino where I got hired as a Cook III that same year. In 2006, I was promoted as a Cook II and was working in different areas of the restaurants and banquets. I worked as a pastry cook and Garde Manger cook for almost 5 years. I love to be one of the few girls working in a kitchen. I had the opportunity to compete as a pastry cook representing the Intercontinental Hotel at the Puerto Rico’s Restaurant Show in 2006.

In 2007, I was one of the few cooks that were sent to Mexico City to train in Italian Restaurant that was going to open in Puerto Rico. I also had the opportunity to participate in several events as a cook like Saborea Puerto Rico and the Heineken Jazz Fest. But, In 2009, I got injured at work, which forced me to study something where I could complement my previous studies and experience. I began my path during my bachelor's degree that same year when I was pursuing a journalism career to combine my two passions: writing and gastronomy.

In 2014, I had the opportunity to do my internship as confused about what exactly I wanted to do after graduating in 2015. In the beginning, I thought it will be pursuing a master in New Media Journalism in Puerto Rico, or turn my life in another direction and study film production. For me, it was a long process but I needed to make a choice so I did it.journalist on an online news agency in my last year of college and even being recognized by the university as the outstanding student in journalism. Suddenly, I discovered another passion, which was producing television shows. We did Circolandia, a kid’s television show produced by students, which was broadcasted on Univision Puerto Rico last year. During my last semester, I became a little

Last year, I started studying Film Production at Full Sail University. Since I already had a culinary arts background and also experience with journalism, I wanted to find a way to combine two of my passions: Food & Beverage, and films. But even though I enjoy it, I felt like something was still missing. I knew since the beginning that I wanted to be a Food and Beverage blogger, photographer and also a restaurant columnist. Finally, in March 2016, I decided to follow my heart and pursue my dreams; I changed my MFA for the Public Relations MA.

Enough of me already. Let's focus on the good part! Let me introduce to you the best of me, Novo.
