Currently, Puerto Rico is facing a remarkable financial crisis with its debt beyond $ 70 billion. Due to this crisis, many families have been forced to adjust their budget to the reality of our current situation. As a full-time student and worker I felted the struggle of having to live and spend my money according to a tight budget and let me tell you, is not easy but it is possible. As a current master student I feel related to the article published by The Atlantic, consequently, I support the statement that no college student should go to bed with an empty stomach. My personal brand: Novo Creative PR is food related, therefore I feel that in order to support a cause, I choose to fight college student hunger with the help of a mobile app.
I would design a friendly user mobile app that would help college students and their parents to choose a weekly budget breaking the numbers on a daily low budget. The app could help them to estimate the cost of 3 meals a day. Also, it would have easy recipes with the few ingredients that they could cook. This app will be an interactive platform where the users could mark a list of ingredients that they have in their pantry, and it will give them easy to follow recipes with the ingredients that they already own. Finally, this app would have location search where the students can buy groceries, or go to low budget restaurants. Since my target audience will be college students and their parents I will use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in order to promote and create awareness of my site.
